Project – The Contempo
‘The Contempo’ is the latest display home offering from Exceed Homes. Located in the new Elm Grove Estate Bungendore ‘The Contempo’ represents all things that shape a Contemporary designed home:

Offering an open floor plan with well-thought-out spaces that suit a large or extended family this home provides endless living options. Built on a large 1026m2 block with uninterrupted mountain views, this home possesses beautiful outdoor spaces for entertainment and relaxation. The façade is made up of bold, sharp shapes with materials that create depth and interest.
The home is filled with natural light due to its strategically placed windows throughout the home and large skylights complimenting the bathroom and ensuites. Flooring and wall cladding materials are used inside and out to link these areas and make an already spacious home feel even larger. These connections enhance the open feel of the home.

Modern building materials and technology
Using the latest in materials and technology we have achieved the highest levels of liveability standards. Driving the energy efficiency of the home is the carefully selected building solutions that we use when building our homes for our clients. These include:
- MyAir smart air conditioning lets you control the airflow to any room, from anywhere. You can control MyAir from your smart phone or your tablet.
- Keksia decking and wall cladding systems are made from 95% recycled materials. Hardwearing and durable, this composite decking range resists fading, UV, the elements, mould, mildew, pests, and stains.
- NRG Greenboard is an insulated wall panel that combines exterior cladding with insulation properties so designers can achieve 7 star energy ratings. NRG Greenboard is a high density expanded polystyrene, containing fire and vermin retardant, and achieves thermal ratings between 1.92R to 3.96R, with the added advantage of an acoustic rating (RW38).
- Velux Skylights with NETATMO indoor climate control: creates a healthier indoor climate in your home – automatically. Sensors measure temperature, CO2 and humidity and operate your Velux Skylights and blinds accordingly.
- The iStore 270L is the perfect solution for homes in need of a constant, reliable supply of steaming hot water, all powered by the sun’s rays. The iStore does more than just heat water though, using its revolutionary air to energy technology, it acts as an effective battery alternative, tapping into your solar PV system to save you money.
- Our EcoSmart Fireplace looks great, is clean and easy to install. Because bioethanol is clean burning, EcoSmart Fireplace models do not need a chimney or a flue, or a utility connection – offering the ultimate in design simplicity and flexibility.
Modern building ideas
Our new display home in Elm Grove Estate extends on the HIA award-winning approach we demonstrated at our last display home in Googong Township. By using the Exceed Homes 3D Build approach we created a detailed brief that our architect and designer used to help us create this amazing home.
Alex D’Ambrosio from Arkitex and Julie Dalmasso from JMD Design were our design partners for this project. They delivered on the brief provided, designing a “Contemporary” home using modern building materials and taking advantage of the orientation of the block.
Home features include:
- Floor-to-ceiling glazing to link the outdoors with the indoors
- Clean Colourbond flat roof design with up to 6-metre high raked ceilings in the grand entry area.
- Bringing the outside elements in with the two-story high Matrix feature wall wrapping around to support the floating Victorian Ash staircase.
- Large 900x900mm tiles through out the home linking the living area to the outdoor Alfresco area.
- Large open air outdoor area in the middle of the home with a feature pond and Euro Alfresco Grande outdoor kitchen.
- Clever use of joinery design and materials from Exceed Homes partners Caesarstone and Polytech to provide an outstanding result without breaking the bank
- Internal timber wall and ceiling linings paired with designer lighting solutions from About Space adds the final touch to make this home truly bespoke.
