Fraser House
Campbell House is a substantial renovation and extension project that has completely redefined both the functionality and street presence of the original home. The transformation involved the addition of over 100m² of new living and garage space, creating a residence that better supports modern family living while enhancing long-term value.
The extension introduced a new double garage, an additional living room, a walk-in pantry, mud room, ensuite and a fourth bedroom. These carefully integrated additions significantly improve the home’s zoning and practicality, ensuring each space serves a clear purpose while maintaining a cohesive architectural flow.
Internally, the existing living areas were reconfigured to face north, maximising solar gain and natural light throughout the day. This adjustment strengthens energy efficiency while enhancing comfort within the main living zones. Skylights have been strategically positioned above the kitchen area, drawing additional light into the centre of the home and creating a brighter, more open environment.
Externally, the home’s street appeal has been completely transformed. A new Colorbond roof and rendered brick façade introduce a clean, contemporary aesthetic while adding depth and refinement to the architectural form. The updated materials ensure the home presents as cohesive and modern within its established streetscape.
Campbell House demonstrates how intelligent reconfiguration and carefully considered extensions can elevate an existing dwelling into a contemporary family residence without losing its connection to the surrounding suburb.
